An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced QHSE Advisor to support our Eastern Hemisphere operations team, based in our Taiwan office.

The QHSE Advisor will undertake QHSE duties as instructed by the Head of QHSE, including the development and maintenance of management systems. This position is responsible for coordinating QHSE strategies in the region, planning and assisting with implementation of health, safety, quality and environmental processes to ensure all objectives are met in company’s uncompromising efforts for an incident-free work environment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of QHSE with the development and maintenance of QHSE documentation and the Integrated Management System (IMS).
  • Conduct supplier/sub-contractor and internal audits as per audit plan and operational requirements.
  • Participate in / lead ISO and client audits.
  • Assist with the preparation of project QHSE documents including - Quality and HSE Plans, Bridging documents and risk assessments. 
  • Support project teams with facilitation of risk assessments.
  • Assisting with the preparation of QHSE pre-qualifications, bid information and reports.
  • Assists with generating, updating and reviewing risk assessments and job safety analysis.
  • Maintaining client databases with Sulmara QHSE information.
  • Office orientations and new hire inductions.
  • Review Supplier onboarding documentation.
  • Liaison with the People department to coordinate QHSE related training.
  • Liaise with the People department to coordinate health surveillance.
  • Create QHSE reports.
  • Facilitate QHSE meetings.
  • Conduct site visits (offices, workshops and vessels).

Skills Requirements

  • Knowledge and awareness of laws and regulations governing safety, compliance and environmental requirements.
  • Able to delegate effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (English).
  • Good IT skills, with the ability to apply Microsoft Office 365 Apps in a business environment.

Experience, Competency and Qualifications

  • Considerable experience of operational health, safety, compliance, quality and environmental practices gained in an Oil & Gas, Offshore Wind or Maritime environment.
  • Knowledge of the principles and requirements of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
  • NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent.
  • Lead ISO Auditor.
  • Lead Incident Investigator (Kelvin TopSet). 
  • Membership of a professional institute advantageous.
