Due to recent project awards and continuous growth, we have opportunities for Offshore Survey Engineers and Senior Offshore Survey Engineers globally to support varied operations across exciting new projects in all our key regions (Europe & Africa, Americas, APAC).

The ideal candidate should be proficient with a variety of the field concepts, practices, procedures and survey equipment operations gained within offshore environment.

The Offshore Survey Engineer will responsible for ensuring all equipment received to the vessel is configured correctly and all engineering work carried out onboard is conducted safely and meets contractual and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Party Chief with the execution of given work and tasks
  • Execute given work in accordance with specifications, procedures and work practices
  • Assist and if applicable compile engineering and mobilization reports
  • Actively participates in implementation of QC procedures in the field environment
  • Execute repairs, maintenance and testing of equipment offshore
  • Responsible for the care and safety of company equipment
  • Coordinates and communicates with crew members and project managers
  • Training of fellow survey engineers.

Skills and Experience

  • Installation of survey systems
  • Equipment maintenance and fault-finding.
  • Excellent understanding of data acquisition requirements and control quality
  • Able to verify the online system and present the results of a survey
  • Able to plan, prepare and test survey IT systems and networks
  • Technical skills and knowledge of major survey equipment manufacturer’s software and equipment
  • Must be proficient with a variety of the field concepts, practices, procedures and equipment operations such as GPS, Navigation Software, USBL and scanning sonar
  • Able to prioritize tasks and work independently
  • Able to support technical reviews of various documentation deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Survey Engineer within the marine construction survey field
  • Minimum level HNC/HND or appropriate technical/military experience and qualifications, or a qualification in an appropriate engineering related subject
  • Good standard of IT literacy
  • Must have or be able to obtain all industry required certificates to work offshore
  • Must be able to obtain a valid passport and/or visas to travel internationally in countries the company operates in
