Business Operations Analyst (Glasgow)


Job Description

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the COO with assessing the existing processes and systems, identify opportunities for improvement, and devise more efficient or cost-effective alternatives.
  • Evaluate and enhance operational workflows across various departments to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Analise and oversee the overall “big picture” workflow map to align individual processes, teams and budgets to allow for smoother collaboration and improved productivity.
  • Participate in projects involving multiple departments, aiming to streamline operations and enhance collaboration. 
  • Assist in preparing detailed reports on business operations, including insights from data analysis; present findings to senior management for strategic decision-making. 
  • Support and develop effective and efficient performance measurement reporting to evaluate channel effectiveness and goal achievement.
  • Analyse activities and trends of key functions and compare analysis against leading practices; present findings and work with management and other team members to identify and implement strategies that will address tactical and strategic goals.
  • Create and publish recurring reports and ad hoc business reports.
  • Researching and project management of identified business issues and devising strategies to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into functional decision support tools.
  • Support the short & long-term business and technology objectives; suggest strategies to meet these objectives and continually introduce innovation to business processes.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, research and recommend new technologies or methodologies to improve business operations and maintain a competitive advantage. 

Skills Requirements

  • Proficient computer skills and use of MS Office suite.
  • Excellent organisational skills and works well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong and articulate communication skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Well organised and methodical in the approach to handling workload efficiently.
  • Adaptable to change and working to tight time constraints.
  • Good problem solver with a logical and methodical approach.

Experience, Competency and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in Business Administration/Business Management/Finance/Economics, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in data analysis within operations environment.
  • Experience in working within multiple stakeholder environments.
  • Experience working in a global organisation.
