Procurement and Logistics Coordinator (Taiwan)


Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Commercial and Operations Teams to ensure that the Procurement Team is engaged in supporting business objectives.
  • Proactively manage key supplier contracts and manage supply chain in assigned areas.
  • Develop strategies and plans to improve efficiency, add value, and improve overall business performance.
  • Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings, utilising negotiation, and procurement best practise to reduce overall spend.
  • Understand internal customers’ needs and business requirements to develop procurement strategy.
  • Ensure quotes and purchase orders provide correct specifications, certification requirements, and verification of the timeframes for delivery of products and services.
  • Issue Request for Proposals (RFP) / Request for Quotation (RFQ).
  • Evaluate supplier quotations and negotiate best total value.
  • Convert quotes and requisitions to Purchase Orders.
  • Manage Purchase Orders including reactive / proactive expediting, updating any change (e.g., delivery date, price) in procurement system and obtain required trade compliance data (i.e., country of origin).
  • Lead monthly reconciliation with regional rental / personnel providers to ensure accuracy of reporting and timely invoicing.
  • Report key service performance indicators regularly to Procurement Manager, noting the results of ongoing or completed improvement actions.
  • Support in supplier audits as required, following through on outcomes to facilitate service improvements.
  • Coordinate the shipment of equipment as required for EH operations.
  • Track multi-modal freight movements in EH to ensure project teams are kept up to date on shipping schedules.
  • Ensure correct documentation is prepared for equipment shipments.
  • Liaise with freight agents and Accounts team to ensure all customs, duty, GST/VAT and import/export fees are arranged for shipments.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Obtained, or be working toward, completion of professional certification (CIPS).
  • Good all round procurement knowledge, including processes and procedures.
  • Proven track record of purchasing execution, stakeholder management and supplier negotiations.
  • Good knowledge of international shipping/freight requirements and processes.
  • Working knowledge of ISO Standards.
  • Must be fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Fluency in Mandarin is preferred however not essential.
  • Full driver’s license preferable.
